Oman participates in meeting of GCC Transport and Communications Ministers Committee

Riyadh-- The Sultanate of Oman today took part in the 29th extraordinary meeting of the Committee of GCC Ministers of Transport and Communications. The meeting was held via videoconferencing.

Oman was represented at the meeting by Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

The meeting reviewed the decisions of the consultative meeting of leaders of the GCC states. It also dealt with challenges and opportunities in the sector of transport and logistics in member states.

The ministers exchanged views about topics of relevance to a project to connect GCC states with a railway network, in addition to projects of integration in the transport and logistics sector.
