Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Saif bin Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Haddabi, President of the Research and Innovation Authority, and in the presence of H.E. Dr. Said bin Hamad Al Rubaie, Vice Chancellor of the University, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Al Mussanah is set to host the “What If 2026” Research and Innovation Forum on 20 April.
The forum will bring together students, researchers, and innovators on an interactive platform aimed at transforming ideas into practical solutions that contribute to society and the economy. It reflects the university’s commitment to fostering applied research and innovation through a comprehensive program featuring specialized scientific sessions that explore collaboration between academia and industry, alongside student and research project presentations addressing real-world challenges in South Al Batinah.
The event will also include an interactive innovation exhibition showcasing modern technologies such as robotics, drones, and 3D printing, in addition to hosting Omani innovators who will share their experiences and success stories.
A key highlight of the forum is the “Best Research Project” competition, focusing on implementable solutions, along with finals of innovation contests that promote creativity and competition among students, supported by partners from both the public and private sectors.
The forum is expected to serve as a dynamic platform for strengthening partnerships, empowering youth, and advancing the knowledge-based economy and innovation in Oman, in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
