
Salalah: A forum titled "Educational Leadership to Enhance the Quality of School Performance in Light of Educational Indicators and External Review," began today in the Dhofar Governorate.
The forum discusses the importance of promoting integration among the various components of educational work. This integration aims to contribute to elevating the quality of school performance and achieving the best educational and administrative practices.
The two-day forum, organized by the Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Governorate, targets approximately 500 school principals, educational supervisors, educational evaluation specialists, and professionals from the Human Resources Department.
The forum encompasses several main themes, including institutional transformation and the development of educational leadership, the management of educational data and indicators, and the development of educational supervision competencies. It also covers external reviews and the improvement of school performance, the efficiency of administrative operations and occupational discipline, supervisory follow-up and elevating performance motivation, digital transformation and the challenges faced by remote schools, and the evaluation of school leadership, in addition to fostering innovation in educational solutions through a dedicated solutions laboratory.
The event included presenting a group of specialized working papers and discussion panels addressing the themes of enhancing the effectiveness of educational supervision in developing school performance in light of external review reports, and developing the skills of educational supervisors in employing educational indicators in decision-making. These sessions focused heavily on building the capacities of supervisors in analyzing educational data.
It is worth noting that the forum aims to enhance the concepts of institutional transformation in educational supervision and school administration to raise the efficiency of institutional performance. It further seeks to empower educational leaders to effectively employ educational data and indicators to support decision-making and improve student learning, while promoting the exchange of expertise and applied experiences among participants.
