Muscat: The North Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command has stopped two citizens after they attempted to cross a wadi in the Wilayat of Bidiya, resulting in their vehicles being swept away. The incident put their lives at risk, as well as the safety of rescue teams involved in the operation.
The individuals have been referred to the judicial authorities to complete legal procedures against them.
The Royal Oman Police reiterated its warning to motorists against attempting to cross wadis during active flows, stressing the serious danger such actions pose to both lives and property. It also emphasized the importance of adhering to safety guidelines issued by the relevant authorities to help ensure public safety.
