93 persons sheltered across Oman due to weather conditions

Muscat: The Relief and Shelter Sector of the National Emergency Management Committee confirmed that 93 individuals have been provided shelter across several governorates affected by the ongoing low-pressure weather system.

In Musandam Governorate, a shelter centre was activated in Khasab, accommodating 23 individuals from the village of Qada.

In South Al Batinah Governorate, a family of five from Barka was relocated to a hotel after their home was impacted.

Meanwhile, in Muscat Governorate, another family of four was also moved to hotel accommodation due to housing damage.

The shelter center in the Wilayat of Adam, located in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, remains operational, currently hosting 61 individuals as a precautionary measure.

Authorities emphasised their ongoing readiness to respond to developments and confirmed that coordination continues with relevant entities to ensure public safety.
