Ain Darbat an important tourist destination in Dhofar Governorate

Muscat: Ain Darbat is located to the east of the Wilayat of Taqah, on the main road leading to the Wilayat of Mirbat in Dhofar Governorate.

It is distinguished by its picturesque view, pristine nature, and forests of large trees, cactus, sidr trees, and coconut trees that fascinate visitors with their beauty on the valley foothills.

Ain Darbat is one of the most important water springs in the Dhofar Governorate, and its waterfalls usually flow for several months, providing large quantities of water that recharge the groundwater reserve in the governorate.

Wadi Darbat is a natural park interspersed with waterfalls, lakes, mountains and caves with fossilised limestone deposits on their ceilings and floors, in addition to various types of wildlife and green plains.

In autumn, a waterfall is formed in this valley reaching a height of about 100 metres on a beautiful and quiet mountain slope that flows towards the north.

Visitors and tourists can see the Darbat Falls from the main road when it is flowing, and when the water level rises in Wadi Darbat, the spring explodes, especially when heavy rain falls.
